Our client is a logistics and service provider who support leading contractors across the UK.
They are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant/Trainee Accountant to ensure the smooth running of the weekly PAYE and CIS payroll.
As the Finance Assistant/Trainee Accountant, you will provide administrative support of the weekly PAYE and CIS payroll along with administrative support to the Accounts function
Key duties of the Finance Assistant/Trainee Accountant:
· Weekly Updating of Excel and CSV files into the digital timesheet portal
· Production of weekly PAYE and CIS payroll and expenses claims
· Producing and uploading payroll data for weekly payroll run into IRIS
· Responsible for ensuring payroll data is received, authorised and processed within specified deadlines
· Resolving payroll queries
· Additional ad-hoc administrative duties in support of the Finance Director and Credit Controller
Essential skills required for the Finance Assistant/Trainee Accountant
· Advanced working knowledge of Excel, using complex formulas and data analysis sets
· AAT Level 2 or 3
· Strong attention to detail
· Professional telephone manner and interpersonal skills
· Knowledge of HMRC Real Time Information reporting requirements for PAYE
· Conscientious, hardworking and a team player
· Knowledge of IRIS or a similar payroll system
