Junior Technical Consultant - £30k - £35k
Austin Fraser is recruiting for a Technical Consultant to work as part of an exciting small team at an Oxfordshire based software house specialising in regulatory software for financial institutions, and consultancy services.
This position will suit either a recent graduate, or someone with a couple of years experience in a technical customer-facing role looking for an exciting new opportunity working in a challenging but rewarding technical environment.
Responsibilities:
As part of our project team you will be involved in a wide variety of activities, including:
* Liasing with customers to understand their requirements.
* Developing reports & documentation using data Datamodelling techniques.
* Assessing the impact of changes requested by clients.
* Training end users to help them get the most from our client's solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
* The desire and ability to learn quickly and apply complex new technologies.
* An attention to detail and desire to deliver high quality work.
* A passion for customer satisfaction.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Exemplary academic qualifications including a 2:1 or above in a STEM subject.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
* Financial industry exposure.
* Programming skills, eg - Java or Linux.
* Exposure to XML and/or XBRL.
* Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Argo and techniques for debugging clusters.
