Online Sales Volunteer

• British Heart Foundation is looking to recruit Online Sales Volunteer
  
• Opportunities are available in our sites on Crwys Road and Cowbridge Road, Cardiff.

• Do you know your way around online sales websites? Have you got an interest in researching and listing unusual or sought-after items? Or maybe you could help us promote our donated stock via the web to reach more customers online? We require curious people to help us with our online sales and sell a range of donated items on various websites, allowing customers to raise life-saving funds from home.

• We've got dedicated resources to help and assist you with this unique volunteering role. Research the value of our most exciting donations, photograph them for online auction, or package them up to be sold at our online sales HQ.

Say hello to the team:

• Funding for researchers begins at your local charity shop. Last year our British Heart Foundation UK charity shops across the UK raised an incredible £28 million - this wouldn't have been possible without our fantastic volunteers. Our Cardiff store is busy and friendly, with a great team to welcome you.

Typical tasks include:

• Photographing items for listing on various online selling sites
• Researching donated items, to gather as much information on unusual items before listing them online - investigative work required!
• Getting involved in uploading as much practical information about goods for sale
• Packing and posting items to be sent to our online sales HQ
• Helping the Manager to handle online queries from customers

Shop Floor Sales Assistant Volunteer

• British Heart Foundation is looking to recruit a Shop Floor Sales Assistant Volunteer.
  
• Opportunities are available in our sites on Crwys Road and Cowbridge Road, Cardiff
  

• Our sales assistant volunteers are the first point of contact for customers when they enter our shops. As a sales assistant volunteer you will greet customers, help them find the items they're looking for and answer their questions where you can. With support from the shop team, your invaluable efforts at keeping the sales floor well stocked and organised will help us beat heartbreak forever by raising as much as we can to fund lifesaving research.

• Working on window and shop displays
• Keeping the shop tidy, clean and well organised - some light housekeeping
• Helping your fellow volunteers and staff

Warehouse Operative Volunteer

• British Heart Foundation is looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative Volunteer
  
• Opportunities are available in our sites on Crwys Road and Cowbridge Road, Cardiff.

• Are you someone who would like to stay in shape, help save the planet and raise funds to save lives? Volunteering in one of our local furniture store warehouses could be the answer.

• We need warehouse operative volunteers to keep our stock moving from the van to the warehouse and shop floor, and back to the van for delivery when items are sold.

• This role can be physical but it's not just moving furniture around. There are other opportunities to help in our warehouse, such as warehouse logistics, booking stock in, building our flat-packed furniture, and testing electrical items - you can try different roles.

• Ensuring the warehouse is always kept in a clean, safe and organised state
• Safely lifting and carrying a range of furniture items, big or small - it all helps!
• Dealing with van deliveries to the shop and preparing deliveries for customers
• Building flat-pack furniture for display purposes, carrying out light furniture repairs if confident alongside Warehouse Supervisor
• Re-stocking furniture on the shop floor as items are sold
• Acting as an ambassador for the British Heart Foundation
