GP Strategies are delighted to be supporting our client based in Aberdeen with the recruitment and training of a Digital Marketing Apprentice.

Our client is a leading provider of asset integrity and engineering consultancy services in risk and safety engineering studies, inspection and integrity management aspects to the oil & gas, petrochemicals and marine industries. Due to the growth of our client's business they are looking to hire a Digital Marketing & Sales apprentice.

As well as entering full-time employment, you will undertake a Modern Apprenticeship in Digital Marketing leading to the attainment of an industry recognised Digital Marketing Diploma.

The Role

· Full-time; Monday to Friday

· Starting Salary; £12,000 with progression

· Location; Aberdeen

As a Digital Marketing & sales Apprentice, you will play a key part in assisting our client with building a digital marketing strategy to help grow the sales funnel and online presence of the business. This will involve managing all social media channels, updating the company website, support sales activities of existing and potential clients.

Your key tasks and duties will include:

· Managing all social media accounts - Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.

· Running customer-focused campaigns to boost sales

· Content creation for Marketing activities

· Updating company website with new products, information, etc.

· Filing and Documentation on SharePoint

· Assisting with online , email and phone sales enquiries

· Answering the office phones and taking orders

Our client, headquartered in Glasgow, is Scotland's foremost official Google Cloud Partner. They help businesses move to, and make the most of, the cloud using G Suite, Google's workplace collaboration platform including Gmail, Drive etc.

The Role

As a Technical Apprentice, you will be involved in a variety of tasks covering aspects of Software Development and Data Visualisation. Tasks will include:

· Coding and scripting

· Creating visual representations of data

· Producing images that communicate data in a way that customers can easily understand and interpret

· Being involved in Development and Data projects

Our client has experience of supporting and developing apprentices, therefore you will have a strong support network around you to help you settle in and thrive. Training and developing their team is central to how our client operates. As you become more confident with the business, there will be opportunities for your role to evolve and grow.

In addition to working full-time, you will undertake an IT Modern Apprenticeship delivered by GP Strategies. An IT Modern Apprenticeship is the perfect opportunity for candidates to kick-start their career in the IT industry and earn as they learn. The programme consists of both workplace learning and classroom training resulting in the achievement of a nationally recognised IT Diploma and industry certifications.

The Candidate

Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate a keen interest and passion for in IT and technology, particularly within Software Development.

You should be a hard-working, focussed individual who thrives as part of a team but can also work independently when required. Furthermore, you must have a strong desire to learn, develop and grow as an individual in both a personal and professional sense.

Candidates should have a good fundamental understanding and awareness of the following:

? Intermediate spreadsheet skills (MS Excel/Google Sheets)

? Familiarity with data types and structures

? Familiarity with object notation and ingesting data

? Familiar with basic programming structures

? Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming

? Rudimentary HTML/CSS/JS knowledge.

If you have any knowledge in any of the areas listed below, this would be beneficial but not essential:

? Advanced spreadsheet skills (MS Excel/Google Sheets)

? Familiarity with SQL and relational databases

? Experience with macro programming using VBA/Apps Script

? Familiarity with webhooks and API's

? Experience in reporting KPIs

? Intermediate HTML/CSS/JS knowledge

? Functional programming

? Knowledge of popular CSS frameworks (Bootstrap/Tailwind)

? Experience with REST API's

? Familiarity with the using terminals such as Bash and CMD.
