1st Line Support Engineer, Junior, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS
We have a great 1 st Line Support Engineer opportunity for our Oxford based client and provider of award winning IT support services. The 1 st Line Support Engineer is an entry/junior level role that offers professional training, qualifications and the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a live IT helpdesk environment. The successful 1 st Line Support Engineer candidate will also enjoy steady career progression and his/hers responsibilities increase through to 2 nd , 3 rd line and beyond.
This a varied role and daily tasks can include any of the following:
· Responding to customer support requests by phone, remote desktop connection and if required by site visit.
· PC, Laptop & Printer installation, upgrades, support and maintenance
· Basic network support
· Upgrades of phone and comms equipment.
· Investigation of internet problems and failures & installation of equipment.
Joining a friendly close-knit team the 1 st Line Support Engineer will be fully supported in this dynamic and exciting role with the chance to work with the following technologies
· Windows Server
· Microsoft Active Directory
· Office 365
· Exchange - Performing routine tasks
· Firewall and routing configurations, inc. DNS requirements.
· VOIP infrastructure
· VMware.
The successful 1 st Line Support Engineer could be from a range of backgrounds including someone who has completed or is looking for an ICT Apprenticeship, BTEC graduate or even a university graduate looking to get into IT!
