Our client require a (trainee) Document Controller to assist them with their Project based in Edinburgh.
You will be supporting the Project Team for a key contract within the heart of Edinburgh.
Training will be provided however some experience relating to technical document administration is preferred. (Work history or academic)
The successful candidate will be responsible for the control, organisation and maintenance of all associated project documents.
Duties will include:
Sort and file technical documents
Ensure documents are set in date
Allocate numbers for drawings and documents
Issue Technical Documents
Maintain trackers/Update Registers
Archiving and retrieval of Documents
Candidate must be PC literate with good Excel skills and attention to detail with high level of accuracy. You must also be proactive, eager and willing to learn.
Applicants who have experience of supporting the administering technical drawings as part of current/previous role or have read/interpreted technical documents during college/university term are desirable.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Civil Engineer to join our client's Project based in Edinburgh.
Ideal candidates will have gained a Civil Engineering Degree however we will also consider candidates who have completed HNC/HND or equivalent.
Mentored by the Construction Manager, you will have the opportunity to be part of a key project within the heart of Edinburgh. You will benefit from training enabling you to apply your knowledge and lessons learned and contribute toward the Project Delivery by taking ownership of tasks in relation to Steel Structures.
Activities will include:
Inspection of Drawings(Read,Measure,Sketch)
Ensure processes are followed as per specification
Query any potential discrepancies
Continuously keep the client informed and up to date.
You will be supported with on-site training however it is important that you can apply your academic knowledge and be motivated to learn and be comfortable with communicating at all levels.

My client based in Coventry is looking to hire a junior / graduate C# developer to join their team. This is a newly created role that will see you working in a team of like minded developers working on business critical systems.

This role will see you:
* Working as part of the Development team to create and maintain customer portals and APis as well as looking after the backend integration of the systems
* Designing, developing and supporting internal web applications, external web based portals
* Defining and performing unit and systems testing for new and existing applications as well as acceptance testing and results reporting.
* Working as part of the Technical Development team, the web developer will be responsible for the
* Monitoring web servers, database servers and optimise systems to provide the best user experience and hardware utilisation.
* Working in a team of developer to create clean robust and reusable code.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
Proven experience in ( commercial or academic):
* Microsoft .NET C# web applications using MVC5
* Entity Framework 6
* Microsoft SQL Server
* Git version control
* Unit testing with xUnit
* SOAP / Web Services / REST APIs (both server and client side)
* HTML / CSS
* Javascript / JQuery

Any experience of the following would also be highly beneficial but not essential:
* Amazon Web Services (EC2 and RDS)
* Hubspot, ServiceNow, GIS (API integrations)
* Experience with JIRA issue tracking and project management
* Client side Javascript frameworks, e.g. React
* TDD / Agile / Dependency Injection / CI / CD
* Web and Graphical design
* Experience with .NET core
* Docker containers and container hosting
* General awareness of IP networking
