Junior Quantity Surveyor, £35,000 - £40,000, Kent

I am currently looking for an ambitious and self-motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join an established Fit-out Contractor based in Kent.

The projects that you will manage will all be in London, so you will be required to be in London circa. 2 days per week.

The role will involve:

• Preparation of interim, financial reports and final accounts
• Manage day to day commercial and contract activities
• Sub-contract procurement ensuring maximum value for money
• Sub-contract valuations and final accounts
• Preparation of Compensation Events/variations
• Contractual correspondence
• Commercial reporting and cost forecasting
• Procurement of professional service for design etc.

Individual requirements:

• A relevant professional Quantity Surveying qualification
• Minimum of 1 years' post qualification experience working for a main contractor, ideally within the commercial fit-out space
• Working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts
• Ability to undertake site measures when required
• Ability to work clearly and accurately under pressure and to tight timescales
• Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and organisation skills
• Computer literate, with a good understanding of excel

Trainee Project Manager (Engineering / Construction), Canterbury, £18,000 - £20,000 pa + package

Our client, a specialist engineering company, are currently looking to recruit a Trainee Project Manager. They are offering full training and development.

The ideal candidate will have an interest in a career in engineering / construction and will be hungry to develop their skills within a niche business.

We are looking for someone with an engineering qualification and/or some practical experience working within mechancial engineering / design engineering / construction.
