Plants visits/Internships : During vacations in University time, from 2007 to 2009 , I visited/interned many chemical factories which produce different products including hydrochloric acid, washing powder, Chinese pharmaceutical, glycerol resin, and rosin in both Hunan and Guangdong Province. I learned the unit operations of those plants. In addition, I got very interested in the water treatment factory which was built based on a novel biotech operation. So I studied the process with the help of the operators in the factory and a couple of classmates. Holiday/volunteer work : Worked as a volunteer in Wai Yin Chinese Women Society, organized an event for Chinese catering and related businesses. Worked as an extra for three days in the 2010 Shanghai Expo after graduating as an undergraduate. Taught Mandarin on a one to one base for Americans in 2007. I also tutored several students in high schools during University. Hosted the Changsha Leadership Development International Training Centres 25th anniversary and graduation ceremony, I also interpreted the speech from Mandarin to English for Qiuchang LI the Deputy Director of Science and Technology Department of Hunan Province, China in the event. I also volunteered to join the visits to a special school for disabled children several times a year with members in the local church.
