A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Law Costs Draftsman to develop their career with a well-established, market leading Private Practice in their Sheffield office.
Our client offers an unrivalled quality of work across several diverse practice areas whilst also providing in-depth training and encouraging qualification to ensure career development and progression. The firm offer sponsorship to Cost Lawyer qualification to all candidates once passing probation if they are not already qualified.
The successful candidate would be joining a large, well-established costs team and be expected to manage their own caseload dealing with solicitors files across a range of disciplines and prepare costs claims for submission to opposing solicitors or the courts. The role may also require participation in negotiations. As you gain experience, it is expected that you will be given increased responsibility to manage more complex and higher valued cases. Suitable candidates may also be given the opportunity to have some involvement in advocacy.
Applicants should be committed, flexible and able to work with minimum supervision whilst demonstrating impeccable organisation and communication skills. Applicants should ideally have a good level of education and a minimum of 1 year's costs drafting experience.
