Trainee Customer Service Sales Executive Windermere, Cumbria £8k - £18k (p.a)
THE PERSON:
We're looking for a smart, professional, and enthusiastic person to support our busy boat sales office within Windermere Marina Village.
This role could suit a school leaver or college/ uni graduate who has an interest in, and some experience of, boating (even if just as a leisure pursuit) - however it is open to applicants of all ages and experience.
Ideally you would have Maths and English to GCSE Grade 4, and would be comfortable using the main Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Boat handling skills are desirable but not essential as you would be given formal and informal training over time. An interest in wakesurfing could be helpful but again is not essential.
Most important is your ability to be punctual, polite, and professional - and demonstrating your commitment to providing our clients with an exemplary experience in all their dealings with us.
THE JOB:
The role is a Trainee Boat Sales/ Customer Services Executive. Within this role you will learn all aspects of our business from the ground up. This will include office administration and accounts, dealing with customers in person/ by phone/ by email/ via social media, and progressing to boat demonstrations and boat sales once sufficient experience has been gained.

The Shepherds name has been associated with boat building and boat sales in the Bowness area for over 100 years, and the current management and owners are incredibly proud to be continuing this legacy today.
We have dealerships with some of the best known and most prestigious brands in the industry, such as Cranchi, Nautique, and Chris Craft. Our core business is brokerage boat sales which covers sailing yachts, motor cruisers, RIBs, day boats, and sports boats.
We are based within the Windermere Marina Village complex which is just 1 mile south of Bowness.

For the first 6 months probationary period you'll receive at least minimum wage for your age band/ national living wage. After the probationary period your performance and pay will be reviewed, and there is the potential for performance related bonuses to be introduced.
