Job Outline
We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible Trainee Optical Coating Technician to work within our busy coating facility which is based in Devon.
The successful applicant will receive training in the operation and maintenance of vacuum coating equipment, measurements using spectrophotometers and learn cleaning methods to produce optical coatings to a very high standard.
Qualifications:
GCSE grade C in Maths, Physics and English.
A strong background in physics, mathematics, computer control and instrumentation is desirable though not essential as full training will be given.
Duties will include machine preparation, cleaning of optics, and the programming of coating systems, inspection and packing of optical components. Good manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential. Previous experience in a clean manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
Hours
40 hours per week initially 8:30am- 5.30pm Mon to Fri. Shift work and overtime may be required.
