Junior QA Tester Bloomfield , Connecticut

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain individual test cases based on User Stories / Requirements, execute test cases, record and document test results.
• Document and track software issues and defects
• Work closely with internal Team members to address defects found during the testing phase of the release
• Research / recreate reported Production issues and document steps
• Work with various internal matrix partners for integrated testing and user support
• Interact with Team members to ensure applications are fulfilling business requirements and are using internal standards of design and function
• Will be involved in multiple projects simultaneously and engaged in fully understanding business requirements with an eye towards identifying decision trees and appropriate test paths
• Assist in the development of the testing plan/strategy for each release

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of functional testing in a web-based environment, attuned to the fundamentals of user interaction
• Working knowledge of the software development life cycle and/or software QA methodology
• Experience working in an environment with various geographical regions (System Test, BAT, Pre-Production, etc.)
• Understanding of HTML, XML
• Ability to understand complex functional requirements and identify / communicate gaps
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Skilled with Office tools (Word, Excel, Access)
• Minimum 2 years testing experience preferred
• Experience using Selenium is a plus
