About the role
We're looking for an exceptional junior designer - with innate curiosity, a passion for digital, and a strong editorial aesthetic - to join our Brand team. Sitting within the broader Marketing & Communications department, the Brand team acts as custodian of our story and visual identity. And increasingly as go-to experts for creative input - sourcing compelling stories to fuel the narrative, fulfilling creative briefs, producing a regular supply of great audience relevant content for use on digital platforms, producing digital and printed corporate communications materials, as well as offering creative advice and training to other departments.
Through this role we want to:
- Drive our digital first storytelling, exploring new ways and trends to create a richer, online experience
- Develop on in-house deliver creative briefs as project lead, rather than service provider.
- Demonstrate the power of good design to solve communication problems and embed
creative excellence into our storytelling.
- Make it easier for non- experts to use our visual identity and achieve more consistency in how it is used.
You will deliver great design, production and artwork for the organisation, working in collaboration with other colleagues and teams to support print and digital campaigns and activities.
Using your skill and experience to support and internal corporate communications messaging and channels by working in partnership with copywriters and other creative colleagues to take internal briefs, advise on the best strategies to deliver results, and develop creative concepts.
By continually looking for new ideas and innovation you will champion creativity and promote our organisational visual identity.Supporting with content collection on international trips, as required, to gather compelling stories of change.
Developing assets, templates and training to support non creative colleagues and key stakeholders to implement our visual identity consistently and accurately.
About you
With creative flair and an instinct for good design you must be able to demonstrate ability in all Adobe Creative Cloud software and have proven experience in digital content design, including for web, video and infographics.
Fundamental to this role is the expertise to understand and interpret creative briefs, generate innovative ideas and flex our visual identity across different audiences and formats whilst retaining the core brand.
An ability to work to work in partnership with copywriters to solve creative problems as well as with colleagues and external stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements is key.
Candidates must hold a relevant higher level design qualification and ideally have agency experience.
