Band 6 Trainee / Band 7 dependent on experience .

Band 6 Salary Scale - £31,365 to £37,890 per annum

Band 7 Salary Scale - £38,890 to £44,503 per annum

Our Trust is based across three hospitals in the exciting, multicultural city of Leicester, in the heart of England. We are one of the largest tertiary cardiac departments in the UK, providing a full range of standard and complex, invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests. We routinely perform complex interventional techniques on adult and paediatric patients.

Our Adult Echocardiography work encompasses a wide variety of pathologies. Staff development in DSE, TOE, contrast and bubble studies is on-going and actively encouraged.

For the Chief post you will have full BSE accreditation with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience. *Applications will be considered from individuals who are currently working as a Band 6 and are in the process of working towards or considering undertaking BSE accreditation (recruitment to the trainee post would be on a Band 6 contract moving to Band 7 permanent post on achieving full BSE accreditation). This includes individuals who are in or just completed the third year of the STP programme or recently commenced the new Echo BSE Trainee PG Cert programme.

The candidate should have drive, enthusiasm, proven organisational skills, be an effective communicator, have initiative, possess negotiation, persuasion and influencing skills and have the ability to work as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team. Participation in a pro rata on-call service is required.

All candidates should be (or eligible) on the voluntary RCCP register.
